Toni, author of A Daily Dose of Toni, ran a popular review and personal blog on the Blogger platform. She was tired of the Blogger platform and the restrictions that a free hosting solution came with – she wanted more flexibility and room for growth. With a few thousand posts and comments, including pictures, internal links and most importantly, years worth of hard work, she was worried about data loss. We successfully moved Toni’s site without any data loss and adapted her existing custom Blogger template to a premium WordPress theme (Arthemia Premium) in a magazine style.
Once Toni was settled with her new blogging space and we’d tricked out her blog with a few extra like backup, SEO and commenting plugins, she ran into a problem: her current host couldn’t seem to live up to their uptime or customer service guarantees. To top it all off, they accidentally suspended her account, claiming excessive CPU usage. Toni came to me again – she needed to move her site to a new host, quickly.
No problem, though – a few hours time on a slow traffic evening with minimal downtime, and Toni is back up and running at a new host and loving her WordPress website. She continues to contact me via email and Twitter on a regular basis to ask advice and request support, which I am always happy to provide!
