ND Graphics is a Canadian company specializing in supplies for the Sign & Imaging markets. ND Graphics contracted a graphic designer who largely provided the design, and RGM Design provided web development services. On Headway 2.x (now at version 3), RGM Design built a custom FAQs area using custom post types, integrated auto-complete Google Search, and tight integration with a third-party e-commerce on a separate platform.

Commonsense Marketing

Sarah of Commonsense Marketing (I simply love her concept & site!) needed to revamp her look. We aimed for a clean design that allowed more focused content to reach her visitors without appearing cluttered or busy. A two-column post layout with short excerpts & emphasis on featured images and post ribbons that indicate the difficulty-level of each post/concept make it easy for users to find what they’re looking for quickly. Dual navigation allow visitors to learn more about Sarah (top right) but primarily to explore the site content by category (main navigation area). Archive pages are customized as well, featuring the ribbon to indicate level and a description of each category.

This site was built as a child theme for the Headway Base (v. 3.0.5+) and makes use of the LoopBuddy plugin by iThemes.

iPhone App Review

This PSD conversion project is built with a custom child theme for the Headway Theme version 3.0+. A custom post type & category taxonomy for apps allows for greater flexibility in layouts and post archives, including a unique layout for single app pages and app categories, as well as featuring specific apps on the homepage. Homepage apps are featured by simply checking a checkbox when creating the post. The Pop/Flop functionality was developed by partner at iPhone App Review, and RGM Design created simple shortcodes to be used within the LoopBuddy integration for easy creation/editing of layouts in the future. The single app layout is a custom loop and does not use LoopBuddy.

Custom widget styling, a developer login, and forms that directly submit to the Apps custom post type integrate with customized plugins by the iPhone App Review team for a seamless experience for app developers wanting to submit their app to the site & offer promotional codes.

This custom design (logo provided by client) was built on Headway 2.0.13 and WordPress and integrates the NextGen Gallery plugin, a special announcements area on the front page, quick contact forms & a blog as well as static pages relating to the company and their offerings.

Dinardo Design

Dinardo Design provided the PSD mockup for this design. The website required a custom portfolio display, using WordPress posts, categories, the featured thumbnail and some creative jQuery. The site also includes several different flash animations and a unique vertical menu on the homepage.

The Big Piece of Cake

The Big Piece of Cake was migrated from Blogger to WordPress. In fact, this site is something of a “two-in-one” – the same WordPress installation hosts both The Big Piece of Cake blog and the Wishing True blog. The Wishing True blog features an entirely different design – but both blogs are easily managed on the same WordPress installation using categories and the Headway Theme. The original header graphics by another designer – all complimentary design elements & web development by Rent a Geek Mom Design.

A redesign of their existing website, this PSD conversion has several widget-ready areas, making updating site content easy, as well as unique background images for second-level pages and a third layout for third-level content pages. The background images on second-level content pages is easily user-controlled through the use of the WordPress Featured Image functionality.

Sacramento Micro-site: Attorney Debt Reset

The Attorney Debt Reset team asked me to design & develop a theme that could be used on a series of regional micro-sites using WordPress and the Headway theme. This theme features a custom featured posts rotator, a call to action box with integrated form, and a full-size photographic background.

This was actually an HTML -> WordPress conversion, though all design elements were previously created by another designer. The site contains nearly 100 pages and features a relatively static layout throughout. Various elements in the header and sidebar trigger fly-out menus and tool-tip style additional information when hovered over.
