Jessica, author of Nothing But Purple, had moved her blog to WordPress some time ago and chose a free WordPress template (Page-Style). However, with a free theme, she felt that her blog didn’t reflect her style – or even her title! A template of muted earth tones didn’t do much to convey the concept that purple is her favorite color.
Enter Rent a Geek Mom. This template was heavily image-based, so I updated each image to reflect a new color theme, and also fixed a small coding error which had caused some issues on her sidebar. We also designed a completely new header, also updating some elements of a popular vector graphic depicting a family to make it more her own. I updated colors, added shorts to the baby boy and overlaid it on a custom-designed background just for Jessica.
Jessica is happy with her new theme, and I think it looks great!
