Profession: I work in a tech-related field in a regular 9-5 job, and take on clients as the “Geek” in Rent a Geek Mom.
Qualifications: I’m 25 years old, and I’ve spent my life on the computer. In this short quarter-century of living, I’ve had a personal computer for about half my life, have been blogging on and off for the last 8 years, have worked in technology-related fields for two years, and married a Network Administrator (Oh wait, that doesn’t count?). In addition, I’ve taught myself CSS/HTML and I’m learning PHP as I go along. I keep up on social networking trends as best I can and try out every single web service I can get my browser to load. I own a hacked/rooted T-mobile G1, my Firefox has nearly 27 add-ons that I use with regularity, and my husband and I have tweeted each other while sitting together on the sofa. Finally, I’ve moved many blogs, helped many friends, clients and coworkers, and regularly get so excited doing so that I forget to do things like eat and sleep.
Other facts: I am a mother (surprise!) of two beautiful little girls. We live with my husband in New England, United States. We have no pets, and we fear for our future because our three and a half year old already knows how to work the TV, iPod, Droid, iPhone, DVR and personal DVD player.
